Corpse Collecting Hobby Given New Life
|
Posted by: PreTender @ 7/28/2010 3:05:00 PM

Yulai, Genesis - Following on from our recent story about el caido and his attempt to collect one million corpses, Macabre Devil has come forward to explain why he also enjoys collecting corpses.
Macabre started his collection as he thought it would be something different. "I was making quite a bit of ISK and was trying to think of something to spend it on. The thought crossed my mind that collecting corpses could be something unique."
Macabre explained that he is willing to pay a lot more ISK on each corpse than el caido currently offers. Whereas el caido currently pays 10,000 ISK per corpse, Macabre Devil offers 500,000 ISK for male corpses and 1,000,000 ISK for each female corpse. According to Macabre, female corpses are much rarer than male ones as female capsuleers are less common than their male compatriots.
Macabre Devil states he currently has two to three thousand corpses, with roughy only a quarter of them being female. With no target in mind of how many he will collect, Macabre said "I just wish to keep collecting them as long as I have the ISK. I do intend to catolog whose corpses I have eventually as well."
With this being the second article in a short space of time regarding the strange hobby, Macabre expressed his understanding of the feelings other capsuleers may have towards it. "They might be taken aback at first, and make jokes about what I keep them for, but I generally think it is just [a] different way to spend one's ISK. Particularly if they have some corpses as well and didn't know what to do with them."

Former Corporations of Ushra'Khan Regroup in Circle-Of-Two
|
Posted by: PreTender @ 7/28/2010 3:04:00 PM

4B-NQN, Providence - For the first time since Ushra'Khan was disbanded by Tarac Nor, the former capsuleers of Ushra'Khan [UNITY] have spoken about their feelings towards him and what they plan for the immediate future.
Rye Contini, UNITY Council member and fleet commander for the former corporations of UNITY, explained why Tarac's action didn't particularly bother him. "We've still got all our stuff, the wallet is fine, the pilots are happy, we [just] need to retake our system."
The corporations that were expelled from Ushra'Khan have regrouped in the alliance of Circle-Of-Two along with pilots from their former executor corporation, which Tarac Nor took over when he seized control of the old alliance.
Emrys Ap'Morgravaine, diplomat for the former UNITY corporations revealed his belief that despite them having problems, it won't be permanent. "We, the former corporations of Ushra'Khan, are still very much the alliance at heart, with all the fire and vigour we are reknowned for."
Rye Contini went on to express the belief that Tarac never even recieved the ISK he was rumoured to be offered to him by Hydra Reloaded. Speaking of Tarac's actions and comments so far, Rye said: "[It's] childish to be honest, sounds like he has too much sugar and at the same time doesn't appear to get what Ushra'Khan is about... we're a really tight knit community."
When asked whether they have had communication with Tarac Nor, Emrys said: "He has, thus far, continued to remain silent, whether that is due to guilt over his actions, or fear of ridicule, only he can say. I would hope guilt though, the kind of guilt that will see him driven to some sort of penance."
With support from Circle-Of-Two, there is belief among its former members that Ushra'Khan can bounce back, and with that in mind, they have already began the process of picking a name for the new alliance they will create. They are keeping the chosen name a secret but those discarded so far have included; Season of the Fist, Minmatar Liberation Front, Rusted Trust, and Lilan'Khan (named for a prominent member of The Littlest Hobos [WEDIE], one of UNITY's former corporations) with the ticker of WEMAD.

BREAKING NEWS: Heavy Spatial Distortion Interrupts Fight in C-J6MT
|
Posted by: PreTender @ 7/27/2010 12:53:00 AM

C-J6MT, Insmother - At 23:40 of 112.07.26, the violent clashes between WHITE NOISE., ATLAS and allies came to an abrupt halt after severe spatial distortions appeared on the battlefield.
According to pilots flying in the area, the severe disturbance rendered it impossible to coordinate fleets during the fight. As a result, the fight between ATLAS, Against All Authorities and their allies battling against White Noise, Red Alliance, XiX and Pandemic Legion, was interrupted.
About 20 supercapital vessels and 5 titans were present in close proximity of the 78-0R6 gate in C-J6NP.
Many veteran capsuleers blame the presence of such huge vessels in confined quarters as the cause of the severe disturbance.
"Both sides had pretty even numbers, and it should have been a great fight, but no one could really shoot anything by the end," said Jean Dessaut of ATLAS.
The fight for C-J6NP will likely continue in the near future. It is the second time in a short period that ATLAS was forced to defend the system, which is regarded as a sort of "motherland" by several other alliances.
